The Best Approach to What Is Cause of My Hypertension ? for Every Personality Type

Once Hypertension  is  diagnosed  treatment  should be started as early as possible from  physician (MD General Medicine) doctor.

Most  cases  are  handled  by  physician  but  in  some  cases  reference  is  given  to  Nephrologist  or  Cardiologist  depending  on  the  underlying  cause  of  hypertension.

What is cause of my hypertension ?

Besides  keeping  hypertension  under  control the  underlying cause  has also  to  be  treated.

Hypertension is the leading preventable risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

Total  affected people in  the  world are about  1.3 billion ,resulting in  almost  10 million deaths  every year.

Nearly  50 percent of adults in the United States (47%, or 116 million) have hypertension,  with systolic blood pressure greater than 130 mmHg or a diastolic blood pressure greater than 80 mmHg or are taking medication for hypertensive  disease .

In  India  till  April  2022 more  than  2.5 million patients with hypertension have been enrolled in over 15 000 health facilities.

These  are  only the  statistics  of  enrolled  or  registered  patients  of  hypertension.

But  what  about  those  people who  have  never  undergone  any  health  check ups and are  having  only mild  hypertension ?

As  they  are  having  mild  hypertension they  do  not  have  any  signs and symptoms.

But  hypertension  has  effects  on  all  the  body  systems -the heart, brain  kidneys and others.

So  till  waiting  for  the  day  to  come  when  blood pressure  rises  significantly  and  produces  disastrous  complications, it is  important  to  do  timely  health check ups.

This article is to let you know the  various etiological factors in hypertension so that you can prevent them if you are not hypertensive, and if you are a hypertension patient then you can attempt to keep your blood pressure in normal limits .

As as  part  of  routine  check ups  and  the  investigations  that are  necessary  in  hypertension -following  things  are  required -

Testing & Diagnosis

body and running some usual lab tests.

Fasting and post-prandial blood sugar

Lipid Profile – Serum cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL Cholesterol, HDL/LDL ratio, and total triglyceride level

Thyroid function tests – T3, T4, and TSH

Serum creatinine ,for  remaining  investigations  pl  click  on  the  link  given  at the bottom of this  article.

Hypertension is  mainly of two  types  -

1- Essential hypertension or  primary  hypertension or  idiopathic  hypertension  and

2-Secondary  hypertension

In Primary hypertension there is no underlying  cause like  renovascular  hypertension, pheochromocytoma or  hyperaldosteronism.

In modern  science also  today  the  cause  for  this  is  not  completely  known.

Genetic  cause  is  there, but little is  known about  genetic variation whether  what  genes  are  over expressed or  underexpressed.

In  secondary hypertension  there  is some  underlying  cause  like  pheochromocytoma, hyperaldosteronism and  others .

Anything  related to eitiology of  hypertension  has  to be known  in  great  detail, as  we  cannot  explain  in  just a few lines, for details pl click on the link given  below
